Companies in the UK must include certain mandatory information in their websites, Order Forms, Electronic Documents & Emails (signatures or footers) before 01 January 2007.
If not ... they will be in breach the Companies Act and risk a fine.
YOU SHOULD LIST:
- Company registration number,
- Place of registration & registered office address
- Address contact details
- Email address in plain view
- VAT number if you have one
- Membership of trade or professional association (with membership details plus any registration number)
- Prices on the website must be clear and unambiguous. Also, state whether prices are inclusive of tax and delivery costs
This information must be in legible characters. should also appear on order forms and in emails. As we understand the documentation its pretty much the same information that's already required on 'business letters' and electronic documents.
