Although only 65 percent of PC users maximise their browser windows, many of them however will resize the window if the content is larger than the current view-screen. With this in mind, here are the statistics from WC3 showing the state of play for:

Calco tests (using Adobe Browser Labs) its production websites with the above browsers to ensure the site looks similar and is usable. We do NOT officially support any other browsers.

Screen Resolutions:

Stats are annual : next update Jan 2011 (approx). The stats are not realistic however, as many people do not adjust the resolution of the screen and accept what they are given by default. The capability of graphics cards is teherfore higher than the stats above. Also tablets and phones use smaller screens and web pages may have to be re-engineered to offer a smooth experience for small screen users.

Operating Systems (on computers):

In realityWINDOWS accounts for OVER 90 percent of the OS on the open net.

Mobile phones, tablets and smart devices (routers, switches,NAS etc) may use newer OS solutions such as the rapidly rising ANDROID or various forms or LINUX. They are not accounted for above.
